In their own words

The Charlotte Observer has invited North Carolina’s six “major candidates for governor” to provide an essay series this month, addressing four important issues in the state. Beginning today (April 9) with the topic of transportation, the essays will run for three more Wednesdays. Future essays will cover cover health care (April 16), energy and conservation (April 23) and economic development (April 30).

By invitation from the paper’s editorial board, the following candidates are participating (and are linked here to their transportation essays): Fred Smith (R), Richard Moore (D), Bob Orr (R), Bill Graham (R), Beverly Perdue (D), and Pat McCrory (R).
