Was anyone asked about water privatization?

Well, gear up. Rep. Tim Moffitt’s subcommittee which is “studying” what to do with Asheville’s water supply? According to Sourcewatch, it’s entirely made up of ALEC members.

The American Legislative Exchange Council pushes hard to privatize public utilities.

Still doubting? Along with Chairing this water subcommittee, Mr. Moffitt and a majority of it’s members are also on this committee:

    “Select Committee on Public-Private Partnerships”

They are going to seize our drinking water & auction it off to some for-profit company like Aqua NC, and then they will charge us whatever they want, or even better, sell it off to Atlanta while we have forced conservation.
