Thanks for reading through to the end…

We share your inclination to get the whole story. For the past 25 years, Xpress has been committed to in-depth, balanced reporting about the greater Asheville area. We want everyone to have access to our stories. That’s a big part of why we've never charged for the paper or put up a paywall.

We’re pretty sure that you know journalism faces big challenges these days. Advertising no longer pays the whole cost. Media outlets around the country are asking their readers to chip in. Xpress needs help, too. We hope you’ll consider signing up to be a member of Xpress. For as little as $5 a month — the cost of a craft beer or kombucha — you can help keep local journalism strong. It only takes a moment.

According to the Asheville Citizen-Times on Monday evening, Nov. 14:
“About 20 people were part of the camp that was set up in front of the Biltmore building.

“Around 10:15 p.m. Monday, about a dozen Asheville Police officers came to the encampment asking those in the group to move to the sidewalk and off park property.

“Members of the group maintained that they were on private property and not in the public park.”

Its interesting to me that you choose to comment on every report of something that you don’t want to see in the news. Why don’t you just ignore it?

New here much, Mr. Burd? This is what TimPeck(1) does. Try to turn any topic into a thread about him. This is what people who can’t get elected or can’t afford naming rights do to keep their name alive, apparently.

Now, now, Barry: no snippiness needed today.

Well OK – but you’ll let me know when, right?

hmm, how can we spin the historical comparison to another infamous grassy knoll?

In other news: Occupy Asheville has again moved to the Biltmore building sidewalks

Well, I am interested. I don’t hang on every word, but a daily update is appreciated.
