Photos: Asheville runners hit the streets for Boston

Over 100 Asheville runners gathered on Coxe Avenue Tuesday evening for Boston Strong Asheville, an informal run to raise funding and support for the victims of last week’s Boston Marathon bombing. Organized by Asheville Running Tours, the race consisted of a two- and four-mile course through downtown beginning at Asheville Brewing Company. Donations by runners and bystanders went to two charities benefiting victims of the terrorist attack, One Fund Boston and Be Strong Stay Strong. The latter benefits victims from Charlotte.

No runners from Asheville were hurt in the bombing, which killed three and wounded over 100.
