Primary time!

Tuesday, Oct. 9, is the primary election for the Asheville City Council election, and with a field of candidates this large, it could be a dramatic one.

Voters can choose up to three candidates for the three seats that will ultimately be filled. The top six vote getters will make it through the primary and into the general election, which will be held Nov. 6.

Polls open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m. Don’t forget to vote!

I wonder if anybody ever gave any thought to incorporating the county and annexing the city of Asheville just to give the sensible citizens of the area some relief from this constant carnival.

  3. My predictions for the city council race:

Winners: several of the fools listed above.

Losers: the people in the city of Asheville and its surrounding areas.

    5. Butner
    6. Russell

  5. Rob Close

~ Congrats Jan on a strong 1st place performance. It looks like the real race is for 3rd, between Bryan & Elaine. Should be interesting.
