Shred it up

Stave off identity theft. Get rid of those incriminating documents. Whatever you need to dispose of paperwise, this coming Wednesday is your day.

American Security Shredding and the Asheville Chamber of Commerce will host their first annual “Shred Day.” Area businesses and residents can bring confidential material they want to have shredded. American Security Shredding will have their mobile document-shredding truck on hand so people know their material is destroyed right then.

The company and the Chamber also will be serving free hot dogs for lunch. This event gives area businesses and residents the opportunity to have their confidential material destroyed properly, the company says.

The event will be held at the Chamber of Commerce on Montford Avenue on Wed., Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

It only takes a moment.

The comments section is here to provide a platform for civil dialogue on the issues we face together as a local community. Xpress is committed to offering this platform for all voices, but when the tone of the discussion gets nasty or strays off topic, we believe many people choose not to participate. Xpress editors are determined to moderate comments to ensure a constructive interchange is maintained. All comments judged not to be in keeping with the spirit of civil discourse will be removed and repeat violators will be banned. See here for our terms of service.
