Shuler votes no (again) on bailout

Rep. Heath Shuler again voted ‘no’ to the massive federal bailout of the struggling financial industry on Oct. 3, but to no avail. After failing to pass muster days earlier in an initial House vote, the measure passed the House the second time around by a 263-171 margin. Shuler joined six other N.C. lawmakers in opposing the bill.

The measure has already passed the Senate. With the Oct. 3 House approval, the measure immediately went to President Bush, who quickly signed it into law just hours later.

Efforts to reach Shuler and Chief of Staff Hayden Rogers were unsuccessful, but here’s what Shuler had to say about the bailout plan after his first vote.

Heath Shuler is obviously a coward without a retirement fund. As a life long democrat, unfortunately, I will not vote for him. Ever!

  2. Shuler said: “…I don’t have that answer because I don’t feel that I have all the answers from the people that created the problem.”

Does Shuler really know who created the problem? No, he does not!

Shuler is more than a coward. He is the step-n-fetchit boy for Nancy Pelosi. They figure folks wont vote for Mumpower if Shuler pretends hes one of us and dont want our taxes raised. Im votin for the real conservative Dr Carl Mumpower.

While I don’t care for him I say thank you for not voting for the crappy bail out bill. I should not have to pay for Wall Street and the rich folks screw ups!

personally, I feel better about Mr. Shuler than I ever have. He’s a pretty conservative “democrat” actually…not one I had much good to say about…until now.
