Tupelo Honey makes the scene

Jamarcus Gaston of Scene on 7, a nightly show on WSPA, popped into Tupelo Honey to interview staff and film scenes of people eating, which frankly is something I would never agree to be caught on camera doing. However familiar you are with Tupelo Honey — and most everyone who lives in this area is — it’s still neat to see a hometown favorite on video; it’s kind of like watching home movies. Watch the video of Tupelo cooks turning out great nouveau Southern food and some guy inhaling a burger below.

Visit Tupelo Honey at 12 College St. in downtown Asheville.

  1. A Tupelo Fan

Also, mad props to Tupelo Honey Cafe downtown for getting little mobile reservation notification devices. You go in, give your name, they give you a disc that lights up when your table is ready! Beats going back and forth inside buggin’ them. Kudos. Loved it!
