URGENT: Asheville closing in on first place in Beer City USA poll; voting ends at 2 p.m. today

With just over a half hour remaining in the national Beer City USA poll, Asheville lags Portland by only 4 percent in the race for first place. Cast your vote here!

The polling closes at 2 p.m. today.

Meanwhile, the Orange Peel has offered to host a celebration if Asheville wins the poll.

    Portland may win this contest, but Asheville’s strong showing is bound to boost our image as a beer-lovers’ destination. Congrats and a huge THANK YOU to all our local brewers for putting us on the beer map. I think I’ll go visit Pisgah’s pub for some tasty local product… I’m out the door!
