Walk your talk on a lunch-time litter stroll

Who can participate in the Asheville GreenWorks weekly litter walks? “Anyone that is available for an hour in the middle of the day,” says spokesperson Allison McGehee. For the second year, the organization has been hosting the hour-long trash pickups that leave from Pritchard Park at noon every Tuesday. The program is slated to continue through Nov. 24, but will keep going even longer as long as people show up, McGehee says.

Meet at the park to take part. Registration is not necessary, but Asheville GreenWorks will supply a vest, gloves and other supplies to anyone who RSVPs to 254-1776 or volunteer@ashevillegreenworks.org.
