The comments section is here to provide a platform for civil dialogue on the issues we face together as a local community. Xpress is committed to offering this platform for all voices, but when the tone of the discussion gets nasty or strays off topic, we believe many people choose not to participate. Xpress editors are determined to moderate comments to ensure a constructive interchange is maintained. All comments judged not to be in keeping with the spirit of civil discourse will be removed and repeat violators will be banned. See here for our terms of service. The difference is that unlike previous immigrants/refugees, the ones from Syria are something like 99 percent muslim and herein lies the problem. islam is a political system more than it is a religion and the failure of America to recognize this fact spells trouble for the country and the world for that matter. The koran and shariah law are the guide to life for those who follow islam and take it seriously. There is no separation of islam and the state and those who advocate such a separation do so to their own peril. Unlike Christianity and Judiasm, islam requires complete submission to the point of enslavement to islam – read the koran if you think what I’m writing is wrong. Look at how well the muslims have integrated into French, British German, etc. society after immigrating there – they haven’t! In all those countries, there is a problem with the muslim community using shariah law instead of the local state laws of their new countries. Furthermore, there is next to zero assimilation (i.e. women joining the workforce, muslims showing tolerance towards non-muslims) because islam forbids assimilation. Non-muslims are required to submit to islam either by conversion, paying the non-muslim tax or facing death. The American people have every right to be concerned about the flood of muslims into our country.

LOL, considering how the government does not treat illegals and terrorist with the same disdain as it does the US citizen, how much longer can the farce go on lulz?
