I don’t get it. Okay, it’s obviously tongue-in-cheek, but the tone of this piece seemed more mean-spirited and petty than anything else. Satire (good satire, anyway, in which I am an expert) uses humor to make the reader think about an issue in a new way, to lampoon something that needs to be exposed—there is some point to it, in other words. This seems to be some sort of personal beef against Flash Mobs, hiding behind sledgehammer-subtle humor. Notice my wordsmith skills if you will… Sledgehammers are not known for their subtlety. Are you angry that mobs gather good tax-paying citizens together? Do you know how useful mobs are with their mob-mentality and their pitch forks running out witches? Do you like witches? Would you rather mobs be sent to the Bi-Lo center? How about rich mobs who graciously create jobs to help out the dirty uncouth mobs of ‘the little people’? What about little people mobs? They’re so cute. When will your political correct class-envy mob-hating non-funny ways change? I know satire, I’ve studied satire. This is not satire. It is anti-mob angry hateful writing, as subtle as groin to the forehead, because as we all know there is nothing subtle about groining a forehead. Good day sirs…. I say good day!

    Dear Comedy Dueche Bag,

You may have studied satire, but you don’t understand it. Comedy is subjective and anyone who “studies” it, does so because they WANT to be funny. But feel free to continue to “study”, and maybe someone can start easy and explain some knock knock jokes to you. Then you can continue to criticize other peoples creativity.
    Yours truly,
    A real stand up comedian.

    Dear Chad Errio,

Way to stand up for all the “real” (never heard of you and probably never will) stand up comedians out there. You took a stand on a satirical news website in the “Comments” section when others weren’t brave enough to log on using their real name (like me). You are the Rosa Parks of the internet and you should be able to sit in any seat on a public bus because of your post. Thank you for all that you do for the “Comments” section.

Oh, and you spelled “Douche” wrong, douchebag.

    Amen Chad.

If the first post were a serious one, here’s something worth a laugh: Ole’ MtnMob here actually COPIED and PASTED the first 4 sentences of his post from a comment left by Mtnsmith in last weeks issue.

Apparently, all one needs to be considered an “expert” is good old fashioned plagiarism.

    Now THAT’s funny…

But even funnier, I think this post is actually a satirical review of Mtnsmith’s post of last week. Well done sir. I say well done!

BangarangRufio867 your Rosa Parks comment is offensive, racist and above all NOT FUNNY. Rosa Parks fought for civil rights and for you to demean her with your unfunny comments is an affront. If this was some attempt at satire, you fail. I’m sure many African-Americans visit the Biltmore house and I hope they stop coming so you’re forced to raise the price of your hotdogs to $30. Your comment would have worked had it been FUNNY, but alas it’s just mean spirited and racist. Stick to trolling comment sections and try to defend your Biltmore house in a less offensive way. Let’s hope this time MntXpress actually posts my comment.

This post wasn’t about Biltmore House. The last one was. And if that could be considered racist, it was pretty tame, so don’t get all uptight.

And I also have no say in how much Biltmore charges for hot dogs. I’m working on that though, so thanks for your support.
