Letter: Free your children from government schools now!

Graphic by Lori Deaton

[Regarding “Local Schools Seek Major Support From Buncombe Leaders,” May 18, Xpress:] With government school enrollments decreasing, while operating two separate, antiquated government school systems, people do not need, nor should they tolerate, any more tax increases for any “educational” B.S.! When will Asheville City Schools and Buncombe County Schools consolidate into all one for equity, inclusion, diversity, for the children and the taxpayers?

There is no valid reason to operate separate systems, but now, for decades, the evil conflicting failing systems keep costing more and more! Enough of the educational gouging by resistant racist white Democrat controllers! Get your children out of government indoctrination centers as fast as you can! Help us shut down the U.S. Department of Education and the evil National Education Association and the North Carolina Association of Educators once and for all!

— F. Caudle

LOL. This person needs to write for The Onion.

This is the most hilarious parody of a paranoid, right wing conspiracy theorist rantings I’ve seen in ages!

The racist Democratic controllers are all located in the basement of a local pizza joint! They are indoctrinating our children with substandard pizza and robotic banjo players. The only cure is a quart of moonshine mixed with a teaspoon of crystal meth!!!

We need AFFORDABLE BEER! The Occupancy Tax fund should provide 2 pints per week to each Asheville resident tax payer who does not have a child in school.

Just flashing on the fact that Madison Cawthorn would be the perfect poster boy for the model of education advocated by the letter writer. You know him… the member of Congress who flunked out of a “low barrier,” conservative, christian college during his Freshman year as a Government major.

funny how not one commenter mentioned the subject that is addressed… ignorance IS bliss in the AVL …
