Letter: Let us count the ways the GOP fails

Graphic by Lori Deaton

Here are a just few ways the GOP is failing. The GOP wants to (among other regressive schemes):
• Reduce voter numbers by using the voter fraud lie, which is statistically nonexistent. (So elderly who cannot get IDs cannot vote?)
• Reduce women’s rights to decide about their own physical well-being?
• Put the rich U.S. oligarchs above the working and middle class!
• Ignore Trump’s violations of the Constitution; threaten democracy by abdicating Congress.
• Reduce “entitlements” like Social Security – which we paid for. (To help with deficit caused by GOP tax breaks to wealthy.)
• Reduce number of medical care recipients. (If medical care insurance were expanded, medical costs would lessen, jobs increase.)
• Continue kidnapping immigrant children! (Causing huge reunifications costs and suffering.)
• Reduce environmentally friendly energy alternatives. (Getting kickbacks from oil and coal companies?).

And other plans to hurt democracy, environment, decency, rule-of-law and us.

Just look at Mark Meadows aiding Trump! Does he bother to campaign here or debate Phillip Price? No. He is already paid off by big donors. Meadows endangers our national security by releasing documents — to benefit Trump — when they may damage our security [see avl.mx/5dc]. No matter — he’s not working for us.

Vote for Phillip G. Price, U.S. House (N.C. District 11)!

ROFLMAO! Wow ‘Peri’ , you’ve REALLY drunk the tainted kool aid … Try to get your fact straight first … ( you forgot to mention the BIG lie about ‘pre existing conditions’ that the republicans are going to outlaw, the total LIE espoused by the ‘crackkks) lol>>>>

This is why Trump will be re-elected in 2020. You need to find a new circle of friends. Perhaps talking with others in the world will shed some light on why liberals are always losing.

People like them can’t and don’t want to. When they talk of divisions in the nation, they actually mean anyone who disagrees with them is bad, hateful, racist, blah, blah, blah. They hate more than anyone yet somehow justify it by some insane sense of moral superiority. Never mind that we’re witnessing what corrupt left wingers do locally when not held to any standards except how full of crap they are.

Perception is not reality. Facts do exist despite whether or not you believe in them. If you genuinely look at the facts facing us in the world the Republican party is on the wrong side of action:
    1. The climate is changing. Regardless of your belief. The US Military understands this and is trying to prepare.
    2. Facisim is on the rise around the world. (Fascism is a form of radical authoritarian ULTRANATIONALISM, characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition and strong regimentation of society and of the economy,)
    3. Demonizing is prevalent in today’s politics. One party has complete power. The rhetoric is intensifying. Who’s in charge of the Twitter account?
    4. Internment camps for children by the thousands have never existed in this country before now. Why?

I would be happy to discuss reality openly and honestly. That’s just not the Republican way anymore.

The reason one party has complete power is because that is who the United States public has elected to represent them. I know you can’t stand the thought that most people do not think like you.

These internment camps are for illegal aliens. They are not citizens, nor do they deserve the same rights. They should be shipped back to the border and kicked out of the country. We are doing them a solid by feeding, clothing and providing shelter.

I am encouraged by the Democratic and left leaning folks with their concern for children, your point number 4. I wonder what the 61 MILLION children who have been aborted (life terminated) since 1973 would have to say about that if only they could? I often wonder who among those 61 MILLION lives terminated could have solved some of the big problems we talk about today.

Perhaps, in the next life everlasting, we will see a Grand Caravan of all the children born and unborn who’s lives were met with disagreement, disappointment, and disregard.
