In February of 1981, CIA Director William Casey said to his staff: “We’ll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false.”
I can’t help thinking of that quote every time I realize how resoundingly brainwashed the American public is on a number of subjects, not the least of which is the false propaganda that human-generated CO2 is causing the Earth’s atmosphere to warm. This particular brainwashing meme has been so successful because they’ve disguised this false belief in terms of environmentalism. “We’ve got to save the Earth!”
It rears its ugly head everywhere, such as the vacuous opinion piece in the [Nov. 4] Mountain Xpress written by Richard Fireman [“Our Survival’s at Stake”], making claims about global warming that even the odious propaganda organization, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, has disavowed. People will literally believe anything if it’s called “science” and disguised as environmentalism.
CO2 comprises .0004 of total atmospheric composition. The percentage of atmospheric CO2 from non-human sources is 250 times greater than the human contribution. Human contribution to total atmospheric CO2 is .004, which means that human-sourced CO2 comprises only 0.0000016 of total atmospheric composition. That is 16 parts out of 10 million! This is called a trace gas a gas which, in this case, is absolutely essential to all life on Earth. CO2 was declared a “pollutant” by the Environmental Protection Agency for purposes of regulatory control. From a scientific perspective, that is patently absurd.
