Letter writer: Xpress editors and your critics: How big are your shoes?

Graphic by Lori Deaton

I want to start off by saying that I don’t read the Mountain Xpress very much. I have better things to do (don’t edit that).

But, when I do read, I notice that the editor gets a lot of grief. Well, I always feel bad when I hear that.

I try and put myself in your shoes and imagine how hard it must be to represent the truth (as much as possible) without offending someone, and living in a country so diverse and striving for integrity in the workplace — but, then, I put myself into the shoes of your critics, and I think it’s probably a few editors just sitting around eating doughnuts (don’t edit that).

The comments section is here to provide a platform for civil dialogue on the issues we face together as a local community. Xpress is committed to offering this platform for all voices, but when the tone of the discussion gets nasty or strays off topic, we believe many people choose not to participate. Xpress editors are determined to moderate comments to ensure a constructive interchange is maintained.
