I have just completed several weeks of offering my liberal and conservative friends a deal: I would send Dr. Carl Mumpower $20 if they would give me $5 to send to his campaign. While the majority said they will vote for him, only two saw the importance of his message. The majority were so turned off with the absurd amount of money spent on campaigning, they refused to commit $5 to help him.
Apparently they missed the facts that Dr. Mumpower is a statesman and public servant in our best interests. He has a total focus on our Constitution and the reasons for the majority of our successes. I would consider it an insult to call him a politician.
He has used his City Council salary, around $10,000, to fuel a successful effort to shield our lower income neighbors (who are doing the right things: going to work!) from the rain and weather. If you see a wood bus-stop shelter, it was provided to you by him and the hard work of volunteers. No taxpayer money! You cannot call this welfare; I see it as helping our neighbors to help themselves.
He is a hands-on leader, patrolling drug dealing areas as well as repairing streets.
Our systems were built to work this way and have survived for more than 200 years. Please show me a socialist system or whatever “ist” system that has survived this kind of test!
