No condos on the park

I have been marveling at all the development going on downtown—more and more condos being built for rich people! It seems like anywhere they can be crammed in, it is being done! I really wonder how our infrastructure will be able to support all these new residences.

I think the biggest insult to our community lately is the proposed Parkside condos [project]. The plan is to build them on public land sold to developer Stewart Coleman in a backroom deal. Just what downtown Asheville needs!

I urge City Council to deny the project, [see that] Coleman [gets] his money back, and preserve the land for the people! Enough is enough. Really!

The rich are taking over and no one seems to care, this is a beautiful city but it is changing before our eyes and the greedy few are taking advantage of our southern hospitality, and I for one am getting tired of designer clothes and rude imports if they want to show off their money and high falutten ways please go home and leave our city the way that it has been for years–PEACEFUL AND FRIENDLY
