The government has failed seniors and citizens under the leadership of a mindless president and his administration. Now he is blaming the Democrats in Congress for the oil shortage. Does the man even have a brain? What about the effect of the war on oil prices?
I blame not only Bush and Cheney etc., but all those who have supported [Bush] and his criminal activities. I blame all those Republicans in Congress (Dole/Burr) who voted his wishes, and I blame the Democrats there who did not have the balls to stand up to him—including Nancy Pelosi.
This country is doomed. The American dream is dead, and Bush keeps pushing his losing policies. Iran next? He has turned us into a Third World country. My retirement has been ruined by his policies … . He has shown no real feelings for our citizens. And McCain will do nothing but follow in his footsteps. I intend to write in Hillary’s name when I vote in November. She should be our Democratic nominee

Does Lloyd Kay have some special exemption that allows him to get so many letters to the editors published here?
Lloyd’s solution to the horrors that a McCain presidency would bring is to not even support the Democratic nominee, Barack Obama. The hypocrisy of this is astonishing.
The devastating effects of McCain’s continuation of Bush’s tax cuts for the richest 1%, the devastating loss of life and catastrophic blow to our economy his plans for comtinuing the unjust and illegal war in Iraq, the countless women who will die in back alley abortions because of McCain’s Supreme Court nominees, would all be on Lloyd Kay’s hands.
Clearly Lloyd is only voting out of petty vindictiveness and not on the issues. Hillary herself said that Obama is “VASTLY” better on the issues than John McCain. If Lloyd, really supported Hillary’s policies instead of his vote beiong based on petty vindictiveness, he would put the policies first and support Barack Obama.
Hillary herself says that to support her is to support Barack Obama and the Democratic party. The only one Lloyd is supporting with this sort of spiteful drivel is John McCain. He is playing right into the hands of the people he is suposedly decrying, which is an absolute shame. Wake up.

The letter writer was spot on until his last sentence. That someone who can be so correct as to the deleterious impact of the Bush junta can turn around and admit that he is so concerned, he’s throwing his vote away and, by such a incomprehensible action, is facilitating more of the same.
It defies logic.
