Time for a new paper?

I am writing to express my shock over the decision to fire Cecil Bothwell. I feel like it is a very poor judgment [on the part of] the Mountain Xpress.

Bothwell’s articles have helped to keep the Xpress distinguished from its numerous competitors. I hope I find his insights somewhere new very soon.

It looks like Asheville will be getting a new paper, the City Paper, a sister publication of an outfit in Columbia SC. It appears that Cecil will be the news desk editor. I have loved MX but now savor the thought of a little competition.
