Tour de Fat returns to Asheville on Saturday, Sept. 22, with headliner Built to Spill. Asheville is the third stop on New Belgium Brewing’s six-city bonanza of bikes, beers and philanthropic fun. And we want to get you in on the action.
In addition to Built to Spill, New Belgium has put together a hot set of entertainment including Fire Leopard, Sputnik, Slow Ride and KOLARS to round out the afternoon. It’s a celebration of great beer, good people and the star of the show: the bicycle!
Celebrate self-propelled, two-wheel travel and dress up as your alter ego while raising money for Asheville on Bikes’ local efforts to cultivate the culture of urban and commuter cycling. There will also be a pre-party on Saturday, Sept. 15, at the Grey Eagle with Floating Action.
Over the past 18 seasons, the Tour de Fat has raised over $5 million for bike-related nonprofits. So get your costume ready and come on out. It’s time to shift gears and get weird.
Tell us your alter ego in a comment below before midnight on Wednesday, Sept. 19, and you’ll be entered for a chance to win a pair of tickets to the big event. For more chances to win, enter early, because we’ll be giving away tickets every week between now and then, and every eligible comment will be entered into each drawing.
