Anam Cara Theatre Company, known for pushing forward in honest and genuine avant garde theater are entering the closing weekend for their latest exploration of the human psyche through performance, Barbed Wire Suit. And you can see it before it’s gone.

Inspired by the works of Flannery O’Connor’s “The Displaced Person” and “The Barber,” as well as Jean Toomer’s Cane, Barbed Wire Suit is an ensemble-created play in which each ensemble member strives to taste, smell, touch, and embody their own Southern experience. This play asks probing social questions about the stagnancy of Southern culture in regards to both class and race, exploring a world that is cluttered with dusty chairs, trinkets, and minds suspended in time.
