Win Tickets to the 45th Annual Smoky Mountain Folk Festival!

Need something unique and memorable to do over Labor Day weekend? How about two evenings soaking up a smorgasbord of old-time mountain music and dance on the shores of Lake Junaluska?

One of the longest running festivals in the region, the Smoky Mountain Folk Festival will take place Friday and Saturday night September 4th and 5th. Featuring performances by over 200 mountain dancers and musicians including fiddlers, banjo, bagpipe, Native American flute, spoon and carpenter’s saw players, string bands, ballad singers, buck dancers and square dancers, this festival is all about preserving and passing down the heritage of these mountains.

Want to go? Comment on this post by 1 PM on Tuesday, September 1, with your favorite old time song or traditional Appalachian instrument and you’ll be entered to win a pair of tickets!
