It’s just about that time again. In a little over a week, thousands will descend on downtown for Bele Chere, the massive annual street festival with which Asheville enjoys a love-hate relationship. What’s your take on the event?
The indie-rock trio may not have been with winning act, but their Wednesday, June 23 performance is worth revisiting.
Earlier this week, The City of Asheville posted the complete Bele Chere 2010 music lineup on its Web site. Of course a number of these bands have been leaking their Bele Chere performances over the last couple months. That’s given us all plenty of time to think about what group’s we’re most excited about seeing (including Ohio’s The Speedbumps, pictured here).
Xpress has been doing a little detective work and here is a list of bands who have already announced that they’ll be playing this summer’s Bele Chere festival.
