Thank you for your interest in the Xpress community calendar. We strive to connect the community through timely listings that highlight events sponsored by nonprofits, community groups, clubs and spiritual organizations.
Please see the guidelines below to determine if your event qualifies for a free calendar listing:
In order to qualify for a free listing, an event must cost no more than $40 and be sponsored by (or benefit) a nonprofit.
Free listings must be 40 words or less and will be edited by Xpress staff to fit style guidelines. No promotional language allowed.
Nonprofits, groups and clubs with repeating events (weekly, monthly, etc.) may receive three months of free listings per year. After three months, we ask that groups pay a small fee to continue these listings.
Free listings run in print the week they occur. In other words, if an event is held on a Saturday, it will appear in that Wednesday's issue only. If a group would like more than one week of listings, low-cost paid ads are available.
Deadline for free listings is the Wednesday one week prior to publication at 5 p.m.
If the event benefits a business, it must be a paid listing. Paid listings are flexible in length (cost varies based on word count) and can include language requested by the client.
Paid listings are placed at the top of the selected category and marked paid (pd.).
