“Cool Hands” at the Aston tennis court next Monday

Pro tennis star and sports television celebrity Luke Jensen  will offer a tennis talk and clinics at the Aston Park Tennis Center, Monday, July 16.

Known on the international pro tour as “Cool Hands Luke”, Jensen is the only player in history to compete playing with either hand as well as serving right or left-handed at more than 130 miles per hour. Jensen reached the pinnacle of men’s professional tennis by capturing the French Open Grand Slam Doubles in 1993.

Jensen will bring his rock ‘n’ roll brand of tennis to Asheville as part of the annual City of Asheville Open Tennis Championships. Luke Jensen Day opens with Lunch with Luke at noon for middle and high school tennis players free of charge.  They will be treated to a tennis talk with Jensen.

Jensen will lead a full afternoon of tennis clinics beginning at 1:30 p.m. for juniors, followed by clinics for preschoolers and adults. Youth clinics are $10 and adult clinics $15.
