How to get hot-off-the-grill election results

If you just can’t wait till Wednesday to find out who’s winning the Asheville City Council election, here is where you can find results as they pour in.

Buncombe County Election Services provides this site to keep track of incoming results; the site provides PDF downloads of results as they are tabulated — though not yet finalized — so remember to visit often as the evening winds on.

If that’s too much work, just keep an eye the Mountain Xpress Web site. We’ll be feeding the numbers in as fast as we get them.

We’re pretty sure that you know journalism faces big challenges these days. Advertising no longer pays the whole cost. Media outlets around the country are asking their readers to chip in. Xpress needs help, too. We hope you’ll consider signing up to be a member of Xpress. For as little as $5 a month — the cost of a craft beer or kombucha — you can help keep local journalism strong. It only takes a moment.

Before you comment

The comments section is here to provide a platform for civil dialogue on the issues we face together as a local community. Xpress is committed to offering this platform for all voices, but when the tone of the discussion gets nasty or strays off topic, we believe many people choose not to participate. Xpress editors are determined to moderate comments to ensure a constructive interchange is maintained. All comments judged not to be in keeping with the spirit of civil discourse will be removed and repeat violators will be banned. See here for our terms of service. Thank you for being part of this effort to promote respectful discussion.

Riiiiiiiiiiiight… Feeding them in as soon as you can get them. How are you getting them, by the way? Carrier pigeon?

As usual, the AC-T site is uglier, but more up-to-date than yours.

It appears Mr. Freeman paid heavily for his ardent support of partisan elections.

Jones and Cape are indeed in for a serious challenge IF they continue to push an agenda that does not reflect the overall desires of the electorate. Politics is local and chasing foreign green notions when the business at hand is schools, roads and taxes will not be looked upon favorably … but who knows, one of the fauxprog snakes was re-elected.
