Many issues have surfaced in the 2008 campaign. The Republicans have attacked each other with religion, age, being too liberal, and the basics like weak on border and economy. Mostly it has not been too nasty.
The Democrats have been more spirited in their debates. Sex, religion and race seem to be the most important issues. The media makes sure the loathing between Clinton and Obama remains alive. For both sides, several strong issues are being ducked. The candidates and narrators have omitted two daunting questions.
With [the] threaten of violence existing and growing stronger worldwide, [the subject of] terrorism could be a problem —no matter the perspective. The competitors are afraid of both “we the people” and world opinion. Are wise choices evolving from the nation’s projected leaders? Is heeding detriment and hate for their opponents more important than life and freedom?
George Bush has weathered perpetual scrutiny due to addressing terrorism. Many have loathed Bush for standing strong against terrorism. The world might hate Bush, but whose side are we on? Do the candidates running for president demonstrate weakness to the analyzing world? Are the people satisfied with senseless speeches while our candidates remain afraid to [highlight] terrorism?
The second-most important subject not talked about is Israel. Are the candidates dreading this debate? Which candidates will support Israel? When you think of Israel, terrorism evolves. Will our next president support Israel, as [did] our forefathers? Is helping Israel supporting Christianity? Are the Democrats having problems discussing religion?
The candidates realize winning the presidency involves upholding Christianity. All applicants are declaring their Christianity—even Barack Obama. He acknowledges Christianity and his Muslim background. He also understands Christianity is important to winning. Obama’s Christian beliefs are valid, but why is he distancing himself from his family roots? Why have his Muslim ties been downplayed? … Will Obama’s Muslim connection help or hinder with U.S.-Israel relations?
Optimism is warranted. Could Obama’s personality domesticate the radicals? Could his past help create peace for the Middle East? Coherence may arise from his Muslim ancestry. It would be a welcome miracle. Imagine total and complete peace in the world. Foretellings speak about days when peace reigns throughout the world.
