What associations are more significant—Barack Obama’s shared anti-poverty-group board membership with William Ayers, charged with committing crimes when Obama was less than 10 years old, or John McCain’s 90 percent congressional voting support of George Bush? The countries of origin of Obama’s college roommates, or the current Republican-dominated legislative finding that Sarah Palin abused power by attempting to have her out-of-favor brother-in-law fired as a state trooper?
The 11th hour character assassination charges being leveled by the McCain-Palin campaign against Barack Obama are testament to their obfuscation, hypocrisy and desperation. Instead of discussing the economic collapse of the country and offering leadership solutions they would implement if elected, they are focused on dredging up and spreading innuendo and falsehoods.
Is this the continued Karl Rove-dictated future citizens want for America? Listen to your hopes, not your fears, and vote for Obama-Biden on Nov. 4.
