Marc Bamuthi Joseph was UNC Asheville’s keynote speaker following a week of celebration of the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. Among many achievements, Joseph founded Youth Speaks and co-founded Life is Living, a “series of festivals designed to activate under-resourced parks and affirm peaceful urban life through hip-hop arts and environmental action.”
