Mountain Roots, Inc.

Are you interested in learning more about local farms and the gardening process? Perhaps you are, but don’t know where to get started. It can be daunting to figure out what it takes to put together a successful garden for your family. Thanks to a grant from the Henderson Community Foundation, Mountain Roots, Inc. is providing a program on Sunday May 4th from 1:30-5:30 in Henderson County to help get you inspired to get your garden up and running and learn more about local food production. Join us for a tour of a couple local farms and an opportunity to engage in a family-friendly seed planting project. Pre-registration is required and costs just $5 per person (includes snack, seed project supplies to take home, etc.). To learn more, visit www.MountainRoots.org or contact Ali Lien, Mountain Roots Executive Director at (828)329-7298 or ali@mountainroots.org.
