Removing decades-old buried debris found at the site of Isaac Dickson Elementary School could add $3.1 million to the project’s cost and delay the new school’s opening.
School officials don’t know for sure when the debris was buried or where it came from. They suspect a large building – possibly an old school – was demolished and buried on the site.
