From the A-B Tech news website:
A-B Tech will host a Job Fair from 2 to 5 p.m. May 9 in the Coman Gym on the College’s Asheville campus. The event is open to current A-B Tech students, alumni, and the public.
The Job Fair will feature representatives from health care, manufacturing, hospitality, management, information technology and retail industries. A computer lab will be available to file online applications. Job seekers are encouraged to dress professionally and to bring copies of their resume to leave with employers. This event comes after the creation of the A-B Tech online job bank, which is open to current and former curriculum students.
A-B Tech President Dr. Hank Dunn said the job fair serves as another opportunity to provide service to the community. “Our goal at A-B Tech has always been to answer the call to provide quality and innovative job training programs for our students to compete in the local job market,” he said.
Following the Job Fair, the A-B Tech Alumni Association will host a reception in the Magnolia Dining Room from 5:30 to 7 p.m. This event will allow alumni to reconnect with fellow graduates as well as engage current students, faculty, and friends of the College.
“We hope our alumni will join us at the reception to reconnect with their alma mater, network with fellow alumni and community leaders as well as learn about new initiatives here at the College,” Dunn said.
