RiverLink seeks volunteers and open classrooms for watershed education

From a press release:

Wanted:
Two Things we need
1.) volunteer for September 18th program and
2.) classrooms to offer programs

My name is Alex Guyton and I am the new education coordinator at RiverLink. I am very excited to have the opportunity to work here for the upcoming school year. I recently graduated from Warren Wilson with a B.A. in Conservation Biology and have spent the summer working for the Asheville Parks and Recreation’s outdoors summer camps. Education has always been important to me and I can’t wait to work with many of you this coming year.

I am beginning to set up the schedule for the year so let me know if you would like to set up a watershed education lesson or program. Volunteers are always welcome, so please email or call if you are interested in playing rivers and creeks with kids. Can’t wait to hear from you!

Volunteer Opportunity: Next Thursday, September 18th I need a volunteer to teach an enviroscape lesson at the Toe River Valley Science Festival. The event will be a lot of fun, plus you get free lunch and RiverLink will compensate you for gas expenses. Please get back to me as soon as possible if you are interested.
