From a press release:
Let’s Twist Again Foundation Inc., a new 501c3 nonprofit based in Hendersonville, provides a unique motorcycle therapy program to those in rehabilitation hospitals and long-term care facilities. Using a virtual riding apparatus that utilizes real motorcycle controls and a variety of courses to ride, director Garry Segal works with recreational/occupational/physical therapy departments to give patients a chance to exercise cognitive and motor skills from a wheelchair or bed while on a virtual motorcycle ride. This unique program is helping vets and others on the road to recovery. Currently on a weekly basis, the program visits the NC Veterans Home in Black Mountain, Universal Health Care in Fletcher, and Spring Arbor in Hendersonville.
