Press release
from RiverLink
As part of our WaterRICH (Water Reuse, Infiltration, and Conservation for the Home) Program. RiverLink is partnering with the NC Cooperative Extension to offer rain garden class focusing on use in residential applications.
We are offering the course to professionals for certification OR to residents not for certification (at a reduced rate).
The first day will be at the Buncombe County Extension Center and the second day will be at RiverLink’s offices at 170 Lyman St. (Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 22-23).
This program helps residents design and construct their own rainwater gardens, cisterns and rain barrels to promote infiltration and reuse of rainwater on landscapes, reducing run-off and your water bill! RiverLink is working to expand the WaterRICH program, through additional assistance. As part of this we are requiring our “recommended designers” have this certification, as we are looking to rely more heavily on you all as the program moves forward.
