Press Release
From Burial Beer Co.:
December 24, 2014: We are beyond thrilled to announce the release of our skillet donut stout. After months off of the taps, we brewed this breakfast stout on our new 10-barrel system.
Skillet donut stout description:
Cold black iron. Never decaying, it is held to the fire to unearth impeccable flavor from whatever it holds. Never biased, it welcomes all ingredients. The skillet is our most trusted and daring tool of culinary ingenuity. it is the perfect banner-carrier for this rich, black ale. This breakfast stout is made from a blend of nine barley malts, a healthy scoop of oats, milk and molasses sugars, and our favorite blend of freshly roasted Counter Culture Coffee beans. Welcome the day with rich cocoa, smooth caramel, dark fruits and an abundance of diverse coffee aroma unlike no other. Drink your breakfast.
8% ABV 60 IBU
Tuesday 12/30- draught release. we will be releasing Skillet Donut Stout on draught at the taproom on 12/30. Each pour will be served with a Vortex Doughnut doughnut hole!
Tuesday 1/6 -30 case hustle. We are bottling only 30 cases of skillet donut stout to be released for sale at our taproom on Tuesday, January 6, 2015. There will NOT be a bottle limit (really) but a 2 case per person limit. It is a first come, first serve approach with no pre-sale. We open at 4PM on Tuesday. Bottles will be sold in 750ml for $16 each.
We are thrilled to showcase our illustrations for this beer. With plans to can in early 2015, our illustrator, David Paul Seymour, came up with a unique idea for our can art- have two illustrations per can to represent a “lightside” and a “darkside” inherent in our brand and the meaning behind the name, “burial”.
For the bottles, we have taken the two illustrations and split the batch- offering half with the “lightside” illustration and half with the “darkside” illustration. Both labels are attached.
We will be serving a plethora of vortex doughnuts at the taproom during the bottle release.
Burial Beer Co. is located at 40 Collier Avenue. Current hours of operation:
Tuesday -Thursday 4-10PM, Friday + Saturday 2-10PM Sunday 12-8PM w/ Jazz Brunch
