Hendersonville, N.C. (January 8, 2015) – Park Ridge Health welcomes to its extensive team of physicians Dr. Shannon Hunter, a board-certified otolaryngologist who has been serving patients of all ages in western North Carolina for more than 10 years. Dr. Hunter will be joining Dr. Michael Stalford, Dr. Michael Neuenschwander and Dr. Rodney Hawk at Park Ridge Ear, Nose and Throat.

Dr. Hunter has been providing care as a general otolaryngologist at Western Carolina Ear, Nose and Throat Specialists in Clyde, N.C., since 2003. She attended medical school at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and completed her internship and residency at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Hunter served on the Board of Directors at Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) from 2010 to 2013, and has held the role of Haywood Medical Society’s Legal Representative to the North Carolina Medical Society since 2008. From 2010 to 2012, Dr. Hunter served on Western Carolina Medical Society’s Board of Directors.
Otolaryngologists are physicians trained in the medical and surgical management and treatment of patients with diseases and disorders of the ear, nose, throat (ENT), and related structures of the head and neck. They are commonly referred to as ENT physicians.
Dr. Hunter is accepting new patients of all ages at Park Ridge Ear, Nose and Throat which is located at 80 Doctors Drive, Suite 2, in Hendersonville.
