Bye-bye, Twinkies, and bye-bye to nearly 620 Hostess Brands Inc. jobs in North Carolina.
Hostess Brands, the maker of iconic treats like Twinkies, Wonder Bread and Ding Dongs, announced this morning that it is shuttering its plants across the country and liquidating the 82-year-old business after failing to restructure its operations through the bankruptcy court.
