Wild Abundance offers a variety of classes and consultations in eco-homesteading, primitive skills, self-sufficiency, organic gardening, wild foods and medicine, natural building, permaculture and living off-grid.
The groups Living Skills School is offering a 160-hour course called “Essentials,” which meets one weekend a month, starting March 28-9 and running through November. The course introduces students to:
the skills integral to living an earth-based life as a functional human being. We cover permaculture, natural/practical building, primitive skills, wild edibles and medicinals, mushroom cultivation, botany, tools of the woods, nutrition, holistic forestry, hunting, animal husbandry, organic gardening, food preservation, and much more, all woven together with handcrafts like natural basketry, shoemaking, and wood carving! Our instructors are top-notch and teach their specialties and passions, infusing the classes with a wealth of experience, inspiration, and engaging teaching styles.
Instructors include Natalie Bogwalker, Andy Bennett, Juliet Blankespoor, Chuck Marsh, Alex Kilgore and Kaleb Wallace. Students who complete the course receive a certificate for Applied Homesteading Essentials (160 hours). The cost is $1,600.
