The festivites start at 6:00 pm, where we will host a meet-and-greet at our store that will include some of WNC’s most well known outdoor/conservation entities. Girls on the Run, Girls at Play, The NC Arboretum, and the Blue Ridge Hiking Company are just a few that will be in announce. Diamond Brand is also proud to announce the WNC Nature Center will be present and will have several education animals that our guests can meet and have their photo taken with. The fun doesn’t stop there Mountain Hardwear will be doing a clothing layering clinic and Werner Paddles will be doing a paddle stroke clinic for our enthusiasts that have a calling for the water. Finally, at 7:00 pm, the women’s Appalachian Trail world record holder and author of Becoming Odyssa, Jennifer Pharr Davis, will serve as a guest speaker in hopes of encouraging young women across WNC to get outside and follow their passions! This is a day you can’t afford to miss!
