The Friends of Madison County Library will host their 10th author luncheon in May with New York Times author Mary Alice Monroe as the keynote speaker. The luncheon is a benefit for the Madison County Public Libraries. The Friends, together with the library, are delighted that Mary Alice Monroe will headline this popular event. And, they are even more pleased that for the first time, it will take place in Madison County. The luncheon will be held at lovely Mars Hill University in the Redway Dining Room of Pittman Dining Hall on Thursday, May 28.
Want to go? Tickets for the luncheon are on sale now at all Madison County Library locations and the library in Weaverville. The price for a ticket is $35 and includes a buffet-style lunch plus a program and book-signing by Monroe. The event will also include a silent auction. Seating is limited, so be sure to get your tickets early.
