Mission Hospital Receives Cleverley Five-Star Community Value Award
Award based on financial strength, cost of care, pricing and quality
Asheville, N.C. (June 27, 2013) – Mission Hospital is the recipient of the 2013 Community Value Five- Star Hospital by Cleverley + Associates, representing the ninth time in the last 10 years Mission Hospital has been designated as a Five-Star hospital.

Cleverley’s 2013 State of the Hospital Industry uses the Community Value Index® (CVI) to measure the value a hospital provides to its community. Mission Hospital achieved CVI scores within the top 20 percent of all hospitals in their peer group and was therefore designated as a Community Value Five-Star Hospital.

Fundamentally, the CVI suggests that a hospital provides value to the community when it is financially viable, is appropriately reinvesting back into the facility, maintains a low cost structure, has reasonable charges and provides high quality care to patients.”

Cleverley + Associates released the findings as part of its new publication, “State of the Hospital Industry – 2013 Edition.”
