Here’s the press release from the Asheville Tea Party:
The Asheville Tea Party is hosting the fourth annual We Read The Constitution event on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Lake Julian, Pavilion #1, 406 Overlook Road, Arden from 1 PM to 4 PM to celebrate the signing of our United States Constitution on September 17, 1787.
Enjoy crafts for kids, music, food, and fun. The event is free. Expect special appearances from Patrick Henry, and John and Abigail Adams. Educational materials will be available directly from authors Steve Jones, Dr. J Terry Hall, Mike McCarthy, and John Waterman. The Patriot Campers, students, and home schoolers will join us to Read The Constitution. The event is open to anyone. We encourage family participation.
The keynote speakers for the event include bestselling author, Dr. Bill Forstchen on the Second Amendment, Dr. Greg Brannon on Constitutional Authority, and Representative Chris Whitmire, sponsor of Foreign Laws Protect Constitutional Rights Bill that is now law. Also included in the speaker line up are Dr. Carl Mumpower, veteran and best known for the ‘Constitutional Minute,’ and Paul Valone, CEO and Founder of Grassroots North Carolina – the watchdog group of our Second Amendment.
Cruzer’s Diner from Candler will cater the event: tasty pork BBQ, slaw, beans, and a roll. Soft drinks available. Friends supporting the event, Haywood 9.12 and Asheville Tea PAC will draw their raffle winners. The Blue Ridge Tea Party Patriots that serve Hendersonville, Polk and Transylvania counties, and the Sons of Liberty Riders will also attend. The Ultimate Bug Out Vehicle, a 1963 refurbished military troop carrier loaded with emergency supplies, will be on display.
Celebrate the miraculous gift our Founders bestowed upon We The People and join us to Read The Constitution.
“We read the Constitution.” Well, at least the part they care about…the 2nd Amendment. The others…not so much.
