Event Purpose
“Coats for the Cold” was born out of need. The winter weather in our area brings thousands of requests from the poor and homeless who cannot afford appropriate winter attire. These people include but are not limited to men, women, and children, the unemployed, underemployed, and mentally ill. Our community partnerships have resulted in thousands of warm winter coat donations and giveaways to people in need. We have found the entire campaign to be a well-embraced, heart-warming community service project.
