Here’s the information via the Asheville on Bikes email newsletter:
Bike Love cometh!
Save the date: Bike Love returns to ISIS Restaurant & Music Hall on Saturday, February 22. AoB has grown a lot in the past year, and Bike Love is no exception. Did you enjoy the maps and bike plans on display last year? You won’t want to miss this year’s live presentations from area transportation and planning notables. You loved the fellowship with other cyclists and volunteers? We’re amping that up with more interactive features and a dedicated membership table, where you can get face time with our Board members and active volunteers. Did you dig the warm, fuzzy feeling you got from scoring sweet loot at the silent auction while supporting AoB’s after-school bike program? You’ll have even more opportunities this year to put your hard-earned cash to good use, supporting cyclists in Asheville and WNC.
Wait–did you just say something about membership? We sure did. Bike Love, as always, is our premiere fundraising, roof-raising, bike-celebrating party of the year. But this year it’s also the launch of our very first membership drive! Membership is vital to our growth: when we can show hard numbers–how many dedicated folks like you have purchased membership–we gain the attention of policy makers. Membership is the key to making AoB your voice at the local, regional, and state levels.
You’ll have the opportunity to purchase a discounted membership at Bike Love, and we’re working on some nice perks to go with it. Look for details in the February newsletter.
