Press release

Asheville’s premier cycling and fitness studio, Well.Fit Asheville, is opening December 15, in the former Asheville Yoga Center donation studio space at the corner of Liberty and Chestnut Streets.

Well.Fit is the brainchild of local personal trainer Teah Boswell, who has been leading urban boot camps in nontraditional settings for over 5 years. “From the River Arts District to downtown Pack Square to Carrier Park, we have been using every inch of Asheville to keep people moving, exercising and sweating,” said Boswell, “We could not be more excited to join the local wellness community with a brick and mortar space.”

Located blocks from downtown, Well.Fit is tucked away from Merrimon Avenue traffic and anchored by The Asheville Yoga Center. Other neighbors include Elements Real Food juice bar and Silver Leaf Natural Medicine. In early 2016 The Liberty House Coffee and Cafe will open next door, serving high quality local organic food and coffee. This “Wellness Block” is a unique model for health-fueled community development.

Well.Fit will offer classes Monday – Saturday geared toward cycling, general fitness, and race training. “We will also offer TRX [suspension system] strength and conditioning, strength-training circuit classes, small-group training classes for older adults and ‘MetaZone,’ an ayurvedic system that boosts power and endurance and produces an incredible in-the-zone experience,” said Boswell.

“Well.Fit has an authentic culture – imagine yourself surrounded by your besties cracking jokes while Teah pushes you harder than you could ever push yourself…that is Well.Fit. I feel a part of a community of people having FUN and working towards becoming the healthiest version of themselves, body and mind. Community is truly at the heart of every Well.Fit workout.” -Cate Ryba

Membership prices will range from $17 for a drop-in class to $99 for a month of unlimited classes with an annual membership.

“Liberty Street has the feel of an intentional community. Our goal is to complement the other wellness offerings on the block and share our passion for fitness and total well-being with all of Asheville,” said Boswell, “We are wholeheartedly dedicated to giving members a fun, unique, and balanced fitness experience in a nontraditional setting.”

Beginning December 15, visit Well.Fit Asheville for classes Monday – Friday, 6am-8pm and Saturday, 9am-2pm. 239 S. Liberty Street, 828-772-2109.
