Press release from Mission Health:
Mission Health has been named a Best and Brightest in Wellness company for 2015 by the National Association for Business Resources. This distinction honors companies and organizations nationwide that celebrate excellence and quality in employee and worksite health.
“We are thrilled to receive this recognition,” said Kathy Bumgarner, Vice President, Total Rewards, Mission Health. “It is especially gratifying that so many of our employees have embraced wellness as a way of life. They are daily making fundamental, positive choices that are impacting not only their personal health, but also the health of their families, and ultimately our whole community.”
The 2015 winning companies were evaluated by an assessment, created and administered by SynBella, the nation’s leading wellness systems firm. Company entries are examined statistically for quantitative data and examined on a point system based upon criteria to benchmark and improve wellness program effectiveness. Grading criteria include outcomes, analysis and tracking, participation and incentives, benefits and programs, leadership and employee input, as well as culture and environment.
“In this new year, we plan on continuing to expand our services and reach of care to better serve the population of western North Carolina,” said Anna Walz, Director, System Wellness, Mission Health. “Our customized and proven wellness programs propel employees and community members alike to continue along the personal journey to always be well, get well and stay well.”
The Best and Brightest in Wellness recognition celebrates those companies that are making their businesses more healthy, the lives of their employees better, and the community a healthier place to live. The Best and Brightest program provides yearlong education, benchmarking, assessment tools and interaction among the best employers across the nation.
