Equestrian competitors helping local charities

Press Release:

LILIANE STRANSKY & TOP SHOW JUMPING RIDERS SECURE SUPPLIES FOR LOCAL CHILDREN’S CHARITIES IN NORTH CAROLINA DURING TRYON HORSE SHOWS

Tryon, NC July 1, 2016 Liliane Stransky and a group of top equestrian competitors will continue to help those in need while competing at the Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC) this summer.

The president and founder of Step by Step and her team of show jumping riders are lending their support to local charities North Carolina – Big Brothers Big Sisters of WNC, Black Mountain Home for Children, Youth and Families, CARING for Children foster care homes and services, and the homeless youth shelter Trinity Place.

Rather than award money, Stransky¹s non-profit provides supplies needed by organizations ‹ primarily children¹s-oriented projects and nonprofits and relief efforts. Liliane, who owns Stransky¹s Mission Farm in Tryon, North Carolina and Wellington, Florida, and her riders are focusing their attention and providing much needed supplies to local causes.

Before arriving at for the competitions in Tryon, Stransky and her supporters scanned the local organizations¹ websites looking for wish lists of supplies most needed. Now school supplies, bedding and baby clothes, are now being gathered to be delivered as a surprise and will be delivered this month.

Liliane¹s daughter Daniela, Emanuel Andrade, Eugenio Garza, Mark Bluman and Ignacio Maurin are just a few of the international riders to compete on behalf of Step by Step in Tryon. One of the first big wins at the horse show was by supporter Juan Ortiz who captured the $25,000 Lodge on the Lake Lure Grand Prix aboard the Selle Francais gelding Nenuphar¹s Jack, owned by Stransky¹s Mission Farm Inc.

At the Tryon Summer 1 at the beginning of the month Liliane¹s lead rider Mark Bluman demonstrated his skill and expertise, besting today’s tough field of 37 riders aboard Thriller P in the $35,000 1.50m Suncast® Welcome CSI 3* on the second day of FEI competition. The ribbons continue to come in the Grand Prix and Open Jumpers as well as the Amateur Owners and Juniors!

This is not the first time this year that Liliane has stepped in to help! Immediately following the devastating earthquake in Ecuador in April, she and her team rounded up $10,000 worth of medical supplies and sent 50 boxes to those left homeless in the devastated country. The mother of three’s philosophy when it comes to helping others can be summed up in three words, follow your heart.
