Capital Liar, the new, noir comedy by local playwright Peter Lundblad, directed by Rodney Smith, brings the madcap, Hollywood comedic style of the classic silver screen to the Asheville stage. When you mix a notorious gangster, a mysterious actress, a misguided FBI agent, a tabloid kingpin, and a nosy reporter together, you sometimes have to face the ineffable truth: Survival requires a good lie every now and then.

We’re giving away two pairs of tickets to the opening of this world premiere at The Magnetic Theatre. Bubbly will be served after the show. To win a pair of tickets to this hot new show, just comment below by Friday, July 8 at 2 p.m. and you’ll be entered into a random drawing. And that’s no lie.
